SaltWaterPlus began as a running joke between my wife and I in October of 2010.  She decided to get me a present not caring if I would like it, as I had given her a Wii game for our previous Christmas that I intended to play myself.  She had been in the hobby years back, and wanted to introduce our 1-year-old daughter to Nemo.  She ended up buying me a 14 gallon Bio Cube.  Little did she know what would happen once the tank was up and running.  I ended up loving it.  Take that back, I ended up becoming obsessed with it.  It was to a point where I was up late every night reading all I could on local and national reef forums.  I spent countless hours learning as much as I can about subjects ranging from fish husbandry to water chemistry, and everything in between.  In the mean time I had upgraded to a 29 gallon Bio Cube, then to a 55 gallon mixed reef.  After I filled the 55 gallon tank, I purchased a nice 40 gallon breeder set up off a local reef forum.  The 40 breeder filled just as fast as the others, so my natural reaction was to look for something bigger, something that would take me a while to fill.  Presently, I have a 120, and a 125 gallon Reef Ready tanks with all of what I acquired over the last 3 years.  Needless to say, the hobby has become a big part of my life and I am looking to push it into a business venture within the next couple of years.  I will be using this blog as a way to archive my adventure for all to see.
